Registered Member #49 Joined: Sun Sep 17 2006, 03:02pmPosts: 1129 | Okay, I know it's been a while, and this isn't even a great example, but here's something quick to show how to read from and (almost) write to an Excel spreadsheet using ADO. The odd thing is that if the spreadsheet is open when I call the write routine, I see the cells being changed, but the changes are never saved. Maybe someone else can figure out that final step. I thought they would be with PPL when it installed | ||

It's possible that they might get installed with their respective programs (Access, Excel, etc.), but I don't know that for a certainty. To get the ADO install, go to http://msdn.microsoft.com and search for MDAC Install. Here's a direct link: MDAC Install, but of course the way they reorganize it could be gone by tomorrow.
