I've been playing around a little bit with Ball Rebound.  I really like the concept behind the game.  Combining an arkanoid type game where you can draw your paddle with a "grab and toss" style game is quite unique.  I did run into a couple of problems, however.  The first time I played, one ball got stuck in mid-air.  AFter that, new balls would appear every once in a while, but nothing would move.

The second time I played, I cleared all of the bricks in level one, then nothing happened.  What do I need to do to advance to level two?  Also, I destroyed all the balls so that I could end the game (the cracking glass effect is pretty cool, by the way), but when I clicked the screen, which I presume was supposed to take me back to the menu, I got an error in MainProc, an access violation on a SPRITEDATA structure.

Despite these issues, the game looks really nice.  Are the other two really VGA only?  Also, was the 3D maze one written in PPL?

2. The other two games is really VGA mode.
3. 3D maze was written in Delphi+glScene

Do you have any plans for making a QVGA version of the maze game?  Are you working on any other games right now?

If you ever decide to change your mind on the QVGA thing I'd be more than happy to test your games for you.  If not, I guess I'll just have to wait until I get a VGA device.  Are there a lot of VGA devices out there?

Aleksandr, thank you for your games. They look pretty cool. The collide bug is probably fixed by now in version 1.30.

Unfortunately I can't install it on my device.  It tells me that the file is not a valid WinCE cab file.  I have WM2003.

Aleksandr,

I hope you don't mind but I tried out LogicPusher on my Dell AXIM X51V and the install and execution when fine. I installed it on my SD Card and it worked fine.

The only problem I have had with your game is that it doesn't let me play long enough. Ha, ha.

Aleksandr,

I also tried it out on my Windows Mobile 6 HTC MOGUL. It installs fine and plays fine for awhile and then I get an error MSG Screen that pops up. I couldn't get a screenshot of it but I wrote it down for you in hopes this will help you debug it.

APP: LOGICPUSHER.EXE
FILE: LOGICPUSHER.EXE
PROC: MOVING_TARG(2,0)
OPECODE: SPRITEEX
Char/Line/Offset 0, 0, 0x0052d7f0
(Moving_Targ(2,0))
Access Viloation at 0x7042xc

BTW- Very interesting game but I think the computer cheats.

Regards,

LarryCos

Thanks to all.
Eric, I have remake CAB file, try again.
Anybody know how to set OSVersionMIN and OSVersionMax in CAB device project in MS VS 2005? May be anybody know other CAB maker?

LarryCos, Post this topic "user code" i will post key.
Sometimes, i have error MSG Screen too in spriteAt function.
I'm waiting while maximum bugs will be fixed in PPL1.30, then i will remake game.
BTW - the computer not cheats. If so, it means my mistake in algorithm code.

P.S. Because my english not good i can't understand "I hope you don't mind". What is synonym?

Aleksandr,

"I hope you don't mind" = "I am sorry if it was wrong of me to try your program". You hadn't said anyone else but Eric could try it.

The "computer cheats" was my attempt at humor. The algorithm is good and the computer is a worthy opponent.

It is a very entertaining and inventive game.

Best regards,

Unfortunately the cab still isn't working for me, and given Larry's analysis I really want to give this a try.  Any chance you could just get me a zip file with all the necessary files that I'd need to run it?

Have you said before what software application you are using to create your CAB files?

Thanks for the zip file. This is a pretty cool game! I've sent a request for a registration code, and I'm looking forward to being able to play longer.

[Edit]

This game is really cool.  I love simple concepts that can become addicting.  However, I did run into a couple of technical issues.  The first was the one LarryCos pointed out.  I usually get that error 2-3 times when playing for a few minutes.  The second, however, was a lot bigger of an issue.  The game just stopped on me.  I had finished my turn, and the clock popped up for the computer, and it just froze.  I had to do a soft reset to get my machine back.  There were no errors or anything.

Hey Aleksandr,

I believe I sent an email to you requesting the Registration Code. I just want to check to see if you received it.

If not, please let me know which email to make the request to.

Thanks Aleksandr,

In a previous post you had said...

So I thought "User Code" = "Registration Code". If you would rather post the Registration Code to the forum, that would be great, too.

I like your game very much and look forward to playing it a bit longer. Maybe I will have a better chance of winning!

Thanks!

Alain and I are working on those errors for him.  The problem is that they are very sporadic in nature.  I think I might know how to fix them, but unfortunately I was out of town most of the weekend on a trip I was hoping to avoid, so I haven't had the opportunity to try and implement anything yet.  Hopefully we'll have some good news for Aleksandr tonight.

Aleksandr, I have found the problem and it was with PPL sprite's timer. Now your code runs flawlessly without ever giving errors. I will be releasing 1.32 which will include the fixes most probably this week.

Just checked out Labrynth3D - Was this written in PPL? Fancy sharing your floor mapping routine or a tutorial on how you did it maybe? I am having issues with the speed of mine!
