I'm sure most of these are because it is JUST out of beta and has not been tested much outside the company. The first thing is a log file I saved when trying to run VFB. THe second, a picture, is a screenshot from my PPC of an error while opening the Editor. This is all in the Lite vesion.(wanted to check it out before commiting money) Hope these are easily fixable! The Pro version (which I worked with for testing) definately runs VFB fine. We'll test with the Lite version tomorrow to see if it is the problem. I don't think the person who developed the VFB has ran PPL in Lite mode ever. We might have to limit some of the functionalities of the VFB in the Lite version. I would like to know before I decide about buying and you can't test it in the lite version. I like the event handlers now, though. I was able to easily write events for my controls(in PIDE on the PC) I also found out that I can't use PPL(not PIDE) on the PC at all. Any item I try to launch(like VFB or Editor or Console or Anything, basicly) will not launch and doesn't show up on either log or screen. EDIT: Almost forgot, on the Tools on the main screen of PPL on the PPC, there are no icons, unlike the PC version. [ Edited Thu Sep 14 2006, 05:46pm ] Got BSOD? ____________ Seizure BSOD! Youcode events the same way, properties are edited the same way, etc... If you like the PIDE form editor you'll love the Game Level Designer. It supports multiple maps, you can goto any map at any time. Map #-1 is the global map. The global map objects are loaded when the game starts and are never unloaded. It's good to put the main character or objets you want to stay loaded during the whole duration of the game. Regards, Alain Deschenes President and programmer ArianeSoft Inc. The VFB is not compiling because of the fast that it doesn't work in Lite just yet. The icons in the Tools have a tendancy to disappear sometimes. It's something I will look into later, not very important for now. I just noticed the installer doesn't create a shortcut for the PIDE, neither the help file or the PPL program. I will repackage the whole thing tomorrow and re-release with a few bug fixes. Regards, Alain Deschenes President and programmer ArianeSoft Inc. (http://www.arianesoft.ca)

I think it would be very neat to show PPL in all it's glory and even have tutorials in videos. Regards, Alain Deschenes President and programmer ArianeSoft Inc. (http://www.arianesoft.ca)

I found I could run the files by opening them in the run menu.(I think this was possible before, but didn't try) So I decided to try to use the main menu to Edit->Select->and selected any PPL file. It gave me this. Image: http://i9.tinypic.com/3y2bqfn.jpg The rest of the Pocket-PC version "works"(after reinstall) even though the VFB doesn't, but kornalius said it doesn't work right now till he patches it. You are using Windows 2k and over right? Regards, Alain Deschenes President and programmer ArianeSoft Inc. (http://www.arianesoft.ca)

The files the uninstaller leave behind are new files (.ppc) files generated by the compiler and not the ppl files (.ppl) like you've mentionned. The uninstaller doesn't know about these files therefore cannot delete them. Regards, Alain Deschenes President and programmer ArianeSoft Inc. (http://www.arianesoft.ca)

Lastly, I think it was .ppl files, but may have been .ppc. Good Luck! Got BSOD? ____________ Seizure BSOD! Image: http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/7241/ bsodpg2.gif

If you want to test it out, just copy the C:\Program Files\PPL\PPL\Menus folder to your PocketPC's \Program Files\PPL\Menus. This should do it. Try deleting all the *.ppc files you find in C:\Program Files\PPL\PPL\. Edit: I figured out your problem. The source .ppl files are not there anymore. Make sure the default installed files are all there. C:\PROGRAM FILES\PPL\PPL\Editor\Editor.ppl PPL won't run them and won't do anything if they are none existant. I just got the same problem playing around with a copy of mine that doesn't have the editor, if I click the editor button, it ask for the filename and then give me this: error: [Syntax error at 'C' (1,1)] I know editor.ppl is not existant. I used "Wisdom-soft AutoScreenRecorder Free" for the PC and used "VH PocketPC Capture" for the PPC. I have the Editor.ppl file in the editor folder. I t may be causing the same error as if it doesn't exist, meaning ppl may not be able to "see" it. I have W2K(SP4) for PC, AMD Athlon XP 2400+, 512MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9200 Anything else there? PPC is Dell Axim X30 Advanced 624mhz, 64mb ram, ppl is on storage card, wifi/bluetooth, and QVGA. Anything else on the PCC? Got BSOD? ____________ Seizure BSOD! There can be so many possibilities to run into problems in a programming language, there are so many areas to cover. I can assure you it is going to be rock solid very soon.
