No modifications can be made from the registries either from a native WM application or from the PIDE. This will be the case with the new universal PPL installer. We are working to find a solution to fix this issue. Try the following application made for the SDA, it will unlock a policy on your device that will allow PIDE and PPL to run correctly: http://arianesoft.ca/download.php?view.34 You can do the change manually. You need to de-activate the policies using a certified registry editor WM software. You can download one here: http://arianesoft.ca/download.php?view.35 The other one is Resco Registry Editor from Resco Explorer 2007 http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/default.asp Change the following key value: Navigate to HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\ Click "Values" soft-key Change "00001001" value to 1 (decimal) (Default 2) Change "00001005" value to 40 (decimal) (Default 64) Change "00001017" value to 144 (decimal) (Default 128) Change "0000101b" value to 1 (decimal) (Default ???) This will unlock your device policy for the PIDE and PPL.EXE to run without warnings. ** Don't forget to RESET the device after successfully applying these changes. *** (ALL REQUISITE MEASURES TO SAFEGUARD DATA SHOULD BE TAKEN FIRST, and I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR DOING THIS, FIDDLLING AROUND IN THE REGISTRY IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD ONLY BE DONE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU COULD SCREW UP EVERYTHING!!!) *** [ Edited Wed Aug 08 2007, 08:04am ] Regards, Alain Deschenes President and programmer ArianeSoft Inc.
